Confirmation, Reconciliation and Eucharist
The Confirmation, Reconciliation and Eucharist programs are 4-session, family-centred and parish-supported sacramental resources. They are designed for parent and child to work through the booklets together as part of a parish sacramental group under the guidance of a group leader, and to continue the discussion and exercises at home. Both parish and family play their role in journeying with the children towards full initiation into the Church.
In the Diocese of Broken Bay, the order of reception of the sacraments is Confirmation, Reconciliation, Eucharist. Children are usually prepared for these sacraments in Years 3 and 4. The resources are thus designed for this age-group, using simple language and ideas which help create conversations with children about the sacraments.
