Six new roles and unified Diocesan vision: Broken Bay are now hiring!

This week the community of the Church in the Diocese of Broken Bay marked the first Anniversary of the installation of Bishop Anthony Randazzo. The Bishop has taken the opportunity to make some announcements that reflect his vision for the Diocese going forward. These include the advertising of six new roles for the Diocese in the areas of Evangelisation and Communications.

Reflecting upon his first year, and mindful of all the challenges and opportunities presented, Bishop Randazzo has reiterated that at the heart of the mission of the Diocese “lies the person of Jesus Christ and his message of Good News.”

“His heart forms and inspires our prayers, thoughts and works, and becomes the solid foundation of all that we do,” said Bishop Randazzo.

Bishop Randazzo made clear his desire to build a unified team of people passionate for mission, evangelisation and the communication of the Word, who can contribute their talents and use their gifts in fresh and innovative ways.

“I’m looking for people who want to bring their prayers and ingenuity to the mission of the Diocese in a Catholic context that is courageous, dynamic and new. I’m looking for people who have a relationship with Jesus Christ and want to put that relationship into action”.

The Bishop has been clear about the missionary mandate of the Diocese unified around his pastoral priorities with a focus on parish renewal and discipleship. He has identified those priorities and asked that these be placed at the centre of mission for the Diocese, beginning in Advent of this year.

The call has gone out to enthusiastic, faith filled and appropriately skilled people who might help implement this dynamic vision.

“As the Bishop of the Diocese of Broken Bay, I am shaping a team of people who can meet the challenges of our time with a bold and authentic vision to accomplish the will of God”.

The six advertised roles in Evangelisation and Communications that align with the new overall vision for the Diocese are:
Diocesan Director, Communications;
Team Leader - Catholic Youth;
Team Leader - Life, Marriage & Family;
Sacramental Life, Liturgy & RCIA Coordinator;
Executive Assistant (job share / part time 2 days); and
Diocesan Pastoral Project Facilitator.
