St Vincent de Paul Society Winter Appeal
Providing accommodation, financial support and material assistance to help families start again.
- Food for hungry people
- Help with the essentials
- Housing for the future
The Problem
A staggering 1,600 people are being forced into homelessness every single month in Australia.
The most vulnerable people have been hit extremely hard by the spiralling cost of living in the last few years. Many families are only just holding on. They’ve had to cope with sharp rises in the price of food and fuel. And it’s pushed them to the very edge. They have so little left; they just don’t have the resources to deal with any more financial stress.
Australia's ongoing housing crisis means they could lose their homes and everything they’ve worked hard to build. The number of rental properties that a person earning minimum wage can afford has dropped below 1%.
It means that more and more people simply can’t find anywhere to live. They need your help.
Your Impact
Your support today can help provide the immediate assistance and long-term support needed, including food hampers, warm clothes, and emergency accommodation. Your gift today can also assist people in paying rent and living expenses, so they can keep a roof over their heads.
Long-term, your generosity will also provide ongoing support, advocacy, and help vulnerable people rebuild their lives. Everyone deserves a safe place to call home.
Please donate to provide people who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness, and those struggling with cost-of-living pressures, with immediate practical assistance, and long-term support.
Thank you for your assistance in providing vital support for those less fortunate.
