Bishop Robert Barron reports on a visit to Rome
At the end of January 2020, the bishops of California, Nevada and Hawaii were in Rome for their Ad Limina Apostolorum visit, translation, a visit "to the Threshold of the Apostles". These visits by bishops are typically held every five years. Active bishops meet and pray with the Pope, celebrate mass at the four papal basilicas, including those dedicated to the Apostles Peter and Paul, and have discussions with officials from various agencies of the Holy See. The papal basilicas are St Peter's, St John in Lateran, St Mary Major, and St Paul Outside the Walls.
In the video below, Bishop Robert Barron comments on three dominant themes that emerged in the meeting between the US bishops and the Pope.
