Urgent help is needed – please support the Vinnies NSW Disaster Appeal
Vinnies NSW is on the ground assisting people impacted in the aftermath of ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred. Vinnies teams work and live in the communities of Northern NSW and can see firsthand what people need as they once again face another recovery from flooding and damage caused by severe weather conditions.
Your support is needed more than ever.

Whilst there is a sense of relief that Cyclone Alfred was downgraded, there are many communities that have been battered by heavy rainfall, fallen trees and loss of power. There are hundreds of people who have been displaced and are unable to return home. Will you donate today so the people of Northern NSW don’t have to go without life’s basic essentials like food, shelter and clothing?
Vinnies homelessness services in the area have reopened and are already seeing a heightened demand for assistance. Our teams on the ground will be in Recovery Assistance Points in Ballina, Lismore and Coffs Harbour providing much needed immediate and practical help.
Your kindness and compassion today will provide vital support such as:
- Grocery vouchers and food hampers so people don’t go hungry.
- Clothing for people who were forced to evacuate and left with nothing.
- Financial assistance so families can continue to pay bills and replace damaged household items.
The people of Northern NSW are resilient, but unfortunately, many have been hit hard by devastating floods in previous years. Hundreds who have already lost everything, are now facing the financial and emotional toll of yet another disaster.
Please donate today to help our local families rebuild their lives.
