We are invited to participate in a pastoral discernment program for the North Shore community of Broken Bay. This work will complement previous work in the Central Coast and Northern Beaches communities.
This is an opportunity for everyone to be involved in discussion to identify the particular needs of the Broken Bay North Shore community. The project is an invitation to work together, to listen to each other and seek a collective outcome. Everyone has a essential role in this important process.
In preparation, Andrew Spiteri will lead this event to provide guidance on the consultation processes to be used.
The event topics include:
- Listening,
- Discernment, and
- Conversation in the Spirit methodology.
Andrew Spiteri is one of the leading facilitators at the current Synod of Bishops. He was a facilitator at the recent Meeting of Parish Priests for the Synod in Rome. He also served as a consultant/facilitator on participatory methodologies for the Dicastery for the Clergy during a major five-day conference for priest formation in February this year. A member of the Focolare Community, Andrew lives in Brussels and operates internationally. He will join this event from Rome. He assists diverse groups, associations, and Church entities to develop a shared vision for the future and achieve transformational change through dialogue and participatory decision-making processes.
This online event is open to all of the Broken Bay Diocese, particularly clergy, community leaders and consultation facilitators of the Broken Bay North Shore Deanery.
