Parish Secretary, Pymble Catholic Parish
Part Time Role
The Pymble Catholic Parish has a vacancy for a part time Parish Secretary (32 hours per week). This key role is the focal point for Parish support in general administration, financial and bookkeeping processes, visitor and telephone reception, communications, meeting and event organisation, compliance obligations and records and archives management.
The ideal candidate will have excellent people and office administration skills; excellent skills using Microsoft Office and MYOB applications, and database management experience. The candidate will have a good understanding of, and commitment to, Catholic values and teachings. Previous experience in a similar position would be essential.
The successful applicant must have the right to work in Australia and will be required to undertake a National Police History Check and Working With Children Check.
The position within the Pymble Parish is part of the Broken Bay Diocese. The Pymble Parish includes two churches, one each in Pymble and West Pymble. The Parish office is located in Pymble. The Salvatorians are responsible for the pastoral care of the Parish. Broken Bay includes the North Shore and Northern Beaches of metropolitan Sydney, and the Broken Bay and Central Coast regions of NSW.
