We welcome Fr Ireneusz Czech SDS
Fr Ireneusz Czech has joined the Parish as our Parish priest. He recently returned to Australia from Poland and took up his Pymble assignment on 14 March 2022.
Fr Ireneusz is a member of the Salvatorians, the Society of the Divine Saviour.
Fr Ireneusz studied philosophy and theology at the Papal Theological Institute in Poland and the Italian language in Rome. After his diaconate in 1996, he gained pastoral experience in the Salvatorian parish of Teramo, Italy. He was ordained a priest on 24 May 1997.
Fr Ireneusz has served as a parish priest in a number of communities in Western Australia and most recently in the Melbourne Archdiocese. He also served as a college chaplain and the spiritual director in the Salvatorian Seminary in Currambine, WA.
Fr Ireneusz was a director of the Salvatorian Collaborators setting up foundation grounds for the Lay Salvatorians in Australia. He was a member of the Board of the Catholic Youth Ministry Committee of Management in the Archdiocese of Perth.
In February 2022, he represented the Australian Region of the Polish Province of Salvatorians at their Provincial Chapter held in Kraków, Poland.
Our new spiritual leader is an experienced priest. This year he will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood. He is passionate about parish ministry and modern methods of evangelisation.
