Installation of Bishop Anthony Randazzo
Liturgical Reception and Solemn Mass of Installation
The Broken Bay Liturgical Reception and Solemn Mass of Installation for Bishop Anthony Randazzo took place on Monday, 4 November 2019 at The Light of Christ Centre 23 Yardley Avenue Waitara. The event was attended by more than 1,000 people including 27 Australian bishops and more than 120 priests and deacons.
Archbishop Tito Yllana, Apostolic Nuncio to Australia, read the papal bull decree of appointment in Latin and in English. The bull was then presented to the College of Consultors and given to Jo Robertson, the Chancellor of Broken Bay. Bishop Randazzo was then presented with the crozier used by Patrick Murphy, the first Bishop of Broken Bay by Melbourne Archbishop Peter Comensoli, the third Bishop of Broken Bay. Archbishop Yllana and Metropolitan Archbishop Anthony Fisher then escorted Bishop Randazzo to his cathedra taking his place as the fourth Bishop of Broken Bay.
Bishop Randazzo has taken as his motto “Fiat Voluntas Tua: Thy will be done”, from the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew 6:10.
