Lay Salvatorians and the Salvatorian Family
On Wednesday, 8 February 2023, members of the General Committee of the International Community of the Divine Saviour (ICDS), better known as the Lay Salvatorians, met in Rome to receive the Statutes of their society at the Vatican from the office of the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life. They received a Decree of Recognition declaring the Lay Salvatorians a legal identity of the Catholic Church. The Lay Salvatorians are also formally recognised by the Catholic Church as an International Private Association of the Faithful, with juridical personality in Canon Law.
For 12 years, members of the Lay Salvatorians have been working across Australia in both Sydney and Perth. The Australian lay membership is now 16, with others declaring an interest in being part of the charism of the Society.
If you are interested in knowing more about the Lay Salvatorians and would like to speak to someone from the Salvatorian Family, such as your parish priest, please do so. They will support you and connect you to one of the current members. You may also contact one of the Lay Salvatorians yourself by calling one of the members below who would love to hear from you.
