World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life and the Presentation of the Lord
The World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life is celebrated on Sunday, 2 February 2025. Instituted by St Pope John Paul II in 1997, the World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life is celebrated in conjunction with the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, also known as Candlemas Day, which commemorates through the blessing and lighting of candles, that Christ is the light of the world. Those in consecrated life are called to reflect the light of Jesus Christ to all people.

On this day, please pray for all those who have made commitments in consecrated life and thank them for having committed their lives to Christ. May they continue to be inspired by Jesus Christ and respond generously to God's gift of their vocation.
Prayer for Consecrated Life
Lord of light and love,
On this Day of Consecrated Life,
we thank You for the gift of those
who have dedicated their lives to You.
Strengthen them in their mission,
fill them with Your Spirit,
and guide them in joy and fidelity.
May their witness inspire others to seek You,
and their lives reflect Your love to the world.
