We welcome Brother Anthony Thai to Pymble Parish
Salvatorian seminarian Anthony Thai was born in Vietnam as one of eight siblings. He joined the East Asian Salvatorian Seminary in Quezon City the Philippines in 2011 and after four years of philosophical studies, he entered the novitiate for one year. He made his religious profession on 1 June 2017. After completing his second year of theology, he came to Australia for his pastoral placement at the Salvatorian Spirituality Centre in Perth from August to December 2019. He spent his first Christmas at the Gosford Parish, then spent more than a year at the Pittwater Parish. He has now moved to the Pymble Parish for additional experiences and to continue with his online learning.
Anthony Thai is expected to return to Vietnam in the second half of April 2021.
The Seminary in the Philippines educates candidates from the Philippines, Vietnam, China, Indonesia and East Timor. Its 10 year formation program starts with candidature and continues to four years of philosophy followed by one year of novitiate and four years of theology.
