Yes, You Too Could be a Catechist in 2019
15 January 2019
There is a shortage of volunteers instructing Catholic children in public schools within our area. Public schools in NSW offer Special Religious Education each week via a volunteer group. You do not need a PhD in theology. All you need is enthusiasm and a “can-do” attitude. Training is provided (predominantly on-line) as well as all of the class materials and on-going support.
We are in need of new scripture teachers. The following classes are without Catholic Special Religious Education teachers in 2019:
- Turramurra Public School: Wednesday 9:15-9:45am and 10:25-11:05am for Years 2, 3 and 5
- Gordon West Public School: Wednesday 11:35-12:10pm for Year 2 and Year 5
- West Pymble Public School: Wednesday 12:35-1:10pm
All Year Groups
- Turramurra High School: various days, times, and year groups.
Some of our classes are very large. Even those classes with Special Religious Education teachers could also use an assistant. Can you help?
