Children’s Liturgy and Family Masses
Children's Liturgy of the Word
Children's Liturgy of the Word for ages 3-10: Begins with the start of Sunday Mass in the church. The children are called to the front of the church to receive a blessing by the Priest before they move to the Parish Meeting Room, at both churches. The children return to the church for the Liturgy of the Eucharist and are often involved in the Offertory Procession. Your assistance in having the children in the Church prior to the start of Mass would be appreciated.

A Message from one of our dedicated Catechists-
Sandra Sparkes, (Catechist -Asquith P.S. & Mt Colah P.S. Years 3 & 4)
I am a grandparent and just like all grandparents, I love giving my granddaughter gifts. I feel that the most important and precious gift I can give her is the knowledge that she has a God who created her and loves her very much. He is also there for her every second of every day if she would just turn to Him in prayer.
This precious gift of faith in God and the knowledge of God, is given to every child, in the public school system, by the Catechists in this parish. A strong faith in God will help all these children throughout their lives.
Without Catechists to teach them, some children won’t even know that God exists. They will be left without comfort when sadness or trials come into their young lives.
More men and women are desperately needed to bring the knowledge and love of God to all the children, who join our Special Religious Education (SRE) classes, in the state schools.
Jesus said “let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs” (Matthew 19: 14-15).
Please join us and help us to bring all the little children to Jesus.
Parish Playgroups
There are 2 Parish Playgroups run by parents in the Ku-ring-gai Chase Catholic Parish. The playgroups offer a creative, encouraging and nurturing environment which provides opportunities for unstructured play for children up to the age of 5.
The groups welcome Mums, Dads, Grandparents and Carers of children aged between 0 and 5.
Adults enjoy coming together to find valuable support and friendship and to enjoy a relaxing coffee and chat while the little ones play.
