A Call for Prayer for Peace in the Middle East

Vigil Prayer for Peace

In light of the escalating situation in the Middle East, which has led to the displacement and suffering of many, particularly in Lebanon, we find ourselves reflecting on the one-year anniversary of the tragic events in that region.

In response to these urgent needs, Bishop Anthony Randazzo invites us to come together as a Diocese to pray for peace. He encourages us to seek the intercession of Mary, Mother of God, by praying the Rosary—individually, in families, and within our communities.

On behalf of Bishop Anthony, Very Rev. Fr. David Ranson will lead a Vigil of Prayer for Peace at Our Lady of the Rosary Cathedral, Waitara, on the evening of Monday, October 7th, at 8:00pm. This gathering coincides with the feast day of Our Lady of the Rosary and will include the rosary.

We warmly invite everyone to unite as one community in prayer during this challenging time in our world. Let us come together at Our Lady of the Rosary Cathedral to lift our voices in hope and solidarity.
