Pastoral Works Broken Bay Appeal
Our Diocese of Broken Bay Pastoral Works (PWBB) Appeal will be held on the weekend 3/4 May. The Appeal supports various charities in our Diocesan community, particularly the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) and the Hospital Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care Program. PWBB also supports St Lucy's School and St Edmund's College for students with disabilities, and the Ephpheta Centre supports the deaf community.
This financial year, 2025/2026, our parish has been asked to contribute $56,127.00, of which $16,027.00 is still outstanding. These ministries need our community’s generosity as they get little or no Government funding. Please consider donating to help us reach this year’s goal. You can donate at any time, not only during the Appeal months of May and November. All donations over $2 are tax deductible. Envelopes will be available on the pews or you can donate online at Pastoral Works Broken Bay. Please be sure to nominate The Entrance Parish if donating online. Thank you!

CatholicCare Homelessness Appeal
There is no place like home – but for many having a home is not a reality. The causes may be diverse, but the impact is the same – a loss of dignity and a sense of hopelessness. I invite you to consider supporting the homelessness services provided by CatholicCare. On any given night, 116,000 people in Australia are experiencing homelessness, and right throughout our own Diocese of Broken Bay there are people every night sleeping in parks, bus shelters, cars and on couches.
By supporting the Appeal on the weekend 10/11 August, you are ensuring that CatholicCare can continue offering meals, facilities, accommodation, case management and connection for the most vulnerable people in our community, through facilities like Dom’s Place, Mary Mac’s Place, street sleeping outreach, our women’s refuge and more. St Vinnie's Winter Appeal
The Annual Vinnies Winter Appeal is being held at all Masses this weekend. Vinnies Winter Appeal is a vital source of funding for the many good works of the Society. Winter is the hardest time of year for all those struggling to keep warm and to put food on the table. Many battlers can't afford heating at all. Your generosity is essential to the continuing help and support offered by St Vinnies volunteers to those most in need. You may like to donate by: phone 13 18 12, online at vinnies.org.au or by envelopes placed in the collection boxes.

Supporting God's Work in My Parish
We thank you for your support of the Pastoral Works Fund and regular Giving, which can be made via the collection boxes at the doors, in person at the parish office, monthly on credit card, electronic funds transfer, or through direct debit arrangement. Electronically, there are several ways in which you can contribute but some incur higher fees than others. Transfer directly into our accounts incurs no fees and saves the parish. You may also like to consider a bequest to the parish in your will. Your generosity can have a huge impact on your parish’s future.
