FIRST COMMUNION (EUCHARIST) (2025)
Children should be aged 9 or above and have received their Confirmation and First Reconciliation.
Enrolment for the Program
You can enroll your child online from 7 April - 9 May. An enrolment form will become available closer to these dates.
Parents are required to participate with their child in all sessions.
Parent Information Sessions (1 hour)
Attendance is only required at one session. The sessions will be held on:
Tuesday, 6 May at 9:30 AM, St Kieran's
Wednesday, 7 May at 7:00PM, St Kieran's
Parents who are interested in being group facilitators (leading a small family group for the preparation sessions) are requested to stay for 30 minutes after these sessions.
Family Preparation Sessions
These sessions prepare children and their families for the Sacrament, and will be held in homes or in the Parish Centre.
Sessions will run from 8 May - 6 June.
Rite of Enrolment
During the Rite of Enrolment, your child will be officially presented to the parish community as a candidate for First Communion.
The Rite takes place during Mass, and will occur on the weekend of 10-11 May.
Presentation Mass and Ritual of the Creed
During the Ritual of the Creed, your child will receive a copy of the Our Father which we say during Mass, as a sign of their upcoming reception of the Eucharist.
The Ritual of the Creed takes place during Mass, and will occur on the weekend of 31 May-1 June.

Practices for the Sacrament ceremony will take place on:

Wednesday, 11 June, 4:00PM at St Kieran's

You are only required to attend one practice session with your child.
Sacrament of First Communion
The Sacrament will be conferred during Mass. The ceremonies will be celebrated over three weekends at the following times.
