Our Logo

Twenty years ago, the two communities of St Kieran’s Church, Manly Vale and St Cecilia’s Church, Balgowlah were amalgamated into one – the Catholic Community of North Harbour.

Since then, the parish has used a combination of three logos: the Augustinian logo, and the individual logos of both churches.

In 2024, the Parish Pastoral Council initiated the process of designing one parish logo that reflects parish synodality and the journey together as a unified community worshiping in two churches.

We proudly launched our new parish logo at Easter. Here is a brief description of the logo and the elements we have included:

We, the Catholic Community of North Harbour, are a welcoming community of faith enabling people to meet Christ in the Scriptures, in the sacraments, and in one another.

In this Jubilee Year 2025, we have created a new parish logo to reflect our identity, our values and our future goals.

The heart represents our unified, compassionate, life-giving and welcoming community, and reflects our parish’s Augustinian spirituality. The blue tones symbolise our location on Sydney’s picturesque Northern Beaches.

The central cross represents our Catholic identity and our community’s focus on nurturing faith and spirituality. The cross slightly pierces the heart, another visual reference to our Augustinian charism.

The circular ship’s helm located behind the cross reflects the Eucharist, the source and summit of our lives. It reflects our passion for justice and our journey into the future together as a community.
