You are invited this Lent to take time out to reflect on the Lenten Scriptures, and to allow God to speak into your life and draw you more deeply into the mystery of the saving action of Jesus that we will celebrate at Easter.
This 2-hour interactive session will explore two of the wonderful Year A texts that we will hear this Lent:
the Woman at the Well in John Chapter 4
the Raising of Lazarus in John Chapter 11
This opportunity for reflection comes as we prepare for the significant event in our Australian Church of the first Plenary Council session in October. We will also draw on the Plenary Themes of ‘Missionary and Evangelising’, ‘Inclusive, Participatory and Synodal’ and ‘Open to Conversion, Renewal and Reform’, and how they can speak to us today.
Two opportunities are available for this Lenten Reflection:
Either Tuesday 10 March, 6pm – 8pm
Or Monday 16 March, 2pm – 4pm
Facilitated by Pina Bernard, Team Leader Catholic Life & Faith Formation team, Diocese of Broken Bay
The venue is the Parish Centre behind St Cecilia’s Church. All most welcome. Please RSVP to Jo Helm at wyongparish@bbcatholic.org.au by Monday 9 March.
