Parish Car Park Use Policy
Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, Epping

We are blessed to have a parish car park that serves both our worshipping community and the school. This space is part of our shared life and mission, and its use must reflect fairness, stewardship, and our service to one another.

We kindly ask all parishioners to observe the following guidelines:

Free Parking for Worship and Pastoral Participation

  • Free parking is provided for parishioners attending Mass, prayer services, and pastoral programs.
  • Adequate time is allowed for you to arrive early, attend the liturgy or program, and enjoy fellowship afterward.
  • The boom gates will open automatically during pre-scheduled Mass and program times. Where needed, short extensions or validations will be available.

Free Parking for School Drop-off and Pick-up

  • There will be a short period of free parking for parents dropping off and picking up children for School or Out of School Hours Care (OSHC). Free parking is provided for parishioners attending Mass, prayer services, and pastoral programs.

Free Parking for Volunteers

  • Volunteers serving in parish ministries are eligible for free parking only when attending activities directly related to their ministry (e.g., choir practice, liturgy planning, PPC, PFC meetings).
  • These volunteers will need to have their licence plate number registered with the parish for recognition by the car park system. Please use the following form by clicking here.

Paid Parking for Other Use

  • The car park is available for paid general use such as commuting, shopping, or visiting the area. The rates are displayed at the entrance to the car park and is typically free for the first 30 minutes, $5.00 for the next 30 minutes and thereafter $5.00 per hour with a maximum charge of $40 per day.

While we understand that parking in the area is difficult, we cannot offer free parking to all who ask. Our priority must be to support the mission of the parish and the needs of the school community.

We thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we seek to be good stewards of the resources entrusted to us for the service of our parish and wider community.

Let us continue to support one another with kindness, and use this shared space in a spirit of gratitude and mutual care.
