A Healing Mass is celebrated in each community on the 1st Tuesday of every month. The sacrament of Anointing of the Sick can be available after any weekday Mass upon request.
At St Gerard's Carlingford, this occurs on the first Tuesday of the month at 10:00am in the Carlingford Parish Meeting Room behind the church. The morning concludes with morning tea and good conversation! Transport can be arranged for anyone who needs it.
At Our Lady Help of Christians Epping, this is temporarily on hold due to the redevelopment works until further notice.
During the celebration of the Mass, prayers are offered for those present and for those who are being prayed for by those attending. The celebrant lays his hands on each person’s head (if they want it) as a sign of our prayer for God’s healing strength.
The Healing Mass in December may be celebrated on a different day to the usual schedule and at the later time of 11:00am, with a special pre-Christmas luncheon for senior parishioners following.
